Why don't you just stop saying that? As somebody who never believes it when people say that, I have to tell you, it's neither endearing nor admirable, it just feels like you're mining for more attention.Anonymous

Re: 05.
No one is perfect. Maybe his work inspired you because it came from his real feelings, so he knew what he was talking about. He knew what it was like to be where you were, so you connected with his work. Instead of focusing on the one day he didn't acheive his goal of not killing himself, think about the years of strips when he wanted to commit suicide but kept going forward day after day to put the message out (even indirectly, not sure how explicit vs. personal it was).I can see how people might call him a hypocrite. But I have been suicidal, and I know I will be again someday, and if I ever kill myself, I hope the people who knew me focus on the effort I put in to continuing my life instead of the one instant when the effort became too much.

Re: 10.
Speaking as someone who was horribly bullied in school: you may not remember him, but he will always, always remember you. As will anyone you bullied. I know there's nothing you can really do about it now, but I hope you'll pass the message on to your kids or something, at least.Anonymous

Re: 16.
Not that it'll help, but you're already partially in control of both - or as much as you think cutting and starving yourself is giving you. It's not changing anything about the fact that in order to survive, we need to intake nutrients, and that most human beings feel pain when their skin is torn. You'll never control either of those to the extent of which you probably want.If you want control, get good grades or something.

This will be the way I feel in a few short weeks from now. However, I have still yet to actually break up with my boyfriend before this can become my reality exactly. I still have to take care of that small detail.2 years ago

Re: 20.
I know exactly how you feel!!!! Thankyou for saying exactly what I've been feeling!I'm from a fairly well off family, in that we've never been in want, but I'd never call us "rich". My new roommates father has only recently found work after being out of work for nearly 3 years.
I've always been taught to work for everything you want, and I do. I work full time with school to support myself, paying my own rent. She works part time, and relys on her parents going further in debt to pay her rent and tuition, and then calls be "snoody" for buying a Coach purse.
So, you are not alone! :D

Re: 22.
Actually, the people who make aspies look bad are the ones who self-diagnose themselves because they're social outcasts. So aren't you already doing what you hate?As somebody diagnosed several years ago, seeing a bunch of people turn all "PITY ME I'M A SOCIAL OUTCAST SO I MUST BE AN ASPIE" is sickening, and it makes real autistics look bad.
If you wanna see what real mental pain is, trying being hospitalized countless times for trying to kill yourself, 3 times kept in for a week with next to no privacy between camera everywhere and the amount of items you're not allowed to have because they could be used for self harm. That's one of the things that the alienation, inability to handle stress, and over-thinking of an aspie can lead them into, like it did for me. I ended up spending most of high school in a special education facility on top of that.
If you have issues that are bad enough to warrant a diagnosis, you'll go see a counselor and get a diagnosis, and you'll need it. That's life. But if not, please don't worry about it and just go on with your life.
